Who are they?
For my recent crafting endeavors I have come to love and rely on the Hairbow Center the Supply Store. They are great for craft at home needs and small business needs from the comfort of your own home at prices that are even better than going to downtown Los Angeles for me. I love that I can find a greater selection on their site and find great customer service and lower prices. They are based out of Kansas but have speedy delivery and low shipping costs. They carry all your crafting needs from tools to the components with thousands of ribbon colors and multiple sizes and patterns, as well as tulle, headbands, alligator clips, appliques and more hardware.
Why do I like them?
As I said I love that the Hairbow Center prices beat what I can find in the Los Angeles downtown fashion district while saving gas and having a greater variety of choices. I can find great prices for small amounts purchased or in bulk. There is a greater discount when buying in 100 yard sets but the difference is not as large as what I find in downtown. I almost pay the price of 50 yards when getting just 3-5 yards in LA versus this site just over $5 for 50 yards. I also love their great clearance section. I once received a small bag with random applique flowers that were clean, varied but easy to use with any combination of colors and sizes at a steal! They have fast shipping, low prices and thousands of ribbon combinations. I love their selection of printed ribbon as well. They also have a great blog with easy and fun to do ideas that I can use for my children without having any challenges along the way or when I just randomly buy stuff and have no clue what I am going to do with it.
What are we reviewing?
We received 1.5 Inch Double Faced Satin Ribbon in Turquoise, 2.25 Inch Double Faced Satin Ribbon in black 3/8 grossgrain in 5 yard amounts in blue color, 3/8 satin ribbon in green, mini glue gun, and mini size dual temp glue sticks. I used their detailed bow tie tutorial on their blog for an easy testing of all these items and easy beginner project. I love that their instructions are detailed, require little material, low cost and have great pictures for the visual learners. I wanted to work on a small, easy project for my son as my other recent projects have revolved around my daughter. This tutorial was perfect. I made one just in time for his picture day and since he is obsessed with Chase from Paw Patrol he has grown to love bow ties in general.
The directions were easy to follow and the colors received were just what my son wanted. The prices are very favorable and the quality is great, this would cost less than $20 including shipping with multiple bow tie possibilities. I love how soft the satin ribbon is and that they had a swatch image for my son to easily pick out the color he wanted his bow tie in. The colors are very true to the image, which sometimes is hard to trust when it comes to online sites but this site is very accurate. The alligator clips were durable and were easy to decorate with scraps of ribbon. My favorite were the emoji ones. That ribbon print is gonna make me some great projects!
