My son as you may have noticed via my blog loves to cook. He has been reading on and off a book called Pizza Party and also Secret Pizza Party which I thought was silly but he laughed and loved of course because of the topic of pizza.
We decided to try cooking some ourselves. I first bought the ingredients to actually make the dough from scratch because at my local Sprouts store they had no dough balls. Luckily I happened to find some on my first visit to Trader Joe's. It was a dollar and change.
I bought a 16 oz packet of mozzarella and just used about 1/4 with both little pizzas. We used his play-doh tools to roll the dough and punched it for good measure. (I did wash it well before I used it.)
We then put a little spoon sized amount of tomato sauce, cheese and pepperoni on his pizza. I added prosciutto and grape tomatoes to mine. We baked it for about 8-10 minutes per directions and let it cool for a few minutes. The dough was delicious although next time I will try to make it thinner and will try to make the dough from scratch. This was really fun and I am sure made his lunch even more delicious.
Try making pizza it is super easy and no matter how messy they add the ingredients they will end up eaten and delicious! Good eating!!
