The Lego Batman movie has been slaying sales for the past two weeks. Of course we had to go check out the movie and loved it!! It was funny and entertaining for both parents and adults alike. Of course the kiddos both loved it and my son who was already obsessed with Batman went a little crazy. Legoland in honor of this also has had a meet and Greet with the Lego version so we watched the movie Saturday and visited Legoland on Sunday. The weekend was a blast!
They had special events for the past two weekends. We checked it out and had a blast. We got masks and took a family picture with Lego Batman. We got to search for the villains in miniland USA and create Lego cars to race against other members. We got to enter in a raffle, hope we win, for a chance to win a Lego batman set and tickets.
Of course it helps that we have annual passes and live about 2 hour drive from the park. We opted to buy passes since one day at the main park only is currently $84 on their page vs the higher annual pass, the Merlin Premium, option is at $279 per person. This option will let you visit the main park, the aquarium and Water Park. We figured we would be visiting more than once and with this option you get one free ticket, which we used to give to family members that were visiting. We have had the annual membership two years now and have fully enjoyed the park at least a dozen times each year.
We have enjoyed their Halloween events, Ninjago and the opening of the Heartlake portion of the park amongst many others. They have Christmas and 4th of July events that are fun and engaging for the whole family. I really enjoy Halloween in that you can see kids dressed in creative costumes, popular ones, mom and dad’s going all out with their kids. I do see this is more for younger children in that they have foam lego areas and duplo areas for children under 5 that are fun and mentally stimulating. They also have a water area where my son and daughter get wet no matter how cold it is. Take extra clothes if you do go in.
I hope you enjoy the Lego Batman movie and Legoland California as much as my family and I have. If you visit Legoland in the next month you can catch Batman and take a picture with him as well as partake in any of the Lego Batman building they are undertaking at the moment. Have a great week!
